Congress Avenue Austin, TX TDHCA will hold a public hearing to obtain public comment on the Draft 2020 State of Texas Low Income Housing Plan and Annual Report (SLIHP).The SLIHP offers a comprehensive reference on statewide housing needs, housing resources, and strategies for funding allocations. It reviews TDHCA's housing programs, current and future policies, resource allocation plans to meet state housing needs, and reports on performance during the preceding state fiscal year (September 1, 2018, through August 31, 2019). Anyone may submit comments on the SLIHP in written form or oral testimony at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted to Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Elizabeth Yevich, P.O. Box 13941, Austin, Texas 78711-3941, by email to the following address: info@tdhca.state.tx.us, or by fax to (512) 475-0070. The full text of the Draft 2020 SLIHP may be viewed at the Department's website: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/public-comment.htm. Once opened, the link will require the Applicant to enter the primary contact person's email address and the name of the Development. This information will be used to create a unique URL for the Applicant to use to create the pre-application. https://public.tdhca.state.tx.us/htc/t_htc_pre_app.init_entry.signupThe Pre-application Final Delivery Date is Monday, January 13 2020, at 5:00 p.m. (Austin local time). Pre-application fees must be received by this same deadline.The 9% HTC pre-application is not mandatory; however, Applicants that provide a pre-application are eligible for six (6) points in the full Application (assuming all applicable requirements are met), and Applicants that do not provide a pre-application will not be eligible for those points.Documents related to the 2020 Competitive Housing Tax Credit Application Cycle are posted on the Department¿s website at http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/multifamily/apply-for-funds.htm.
